Space Travel

Space travel is quite possibly one of the greatest dreams that any child interested in astronomy could hope to experience within their lifetime. Space travel refers to the actual act of going out into outer space so that one could more closely observe the conditions outside of a planet (in our case, the planet would of course be earth). Because there is, in fact, some actual (traveling involved when one visits outer space, it can be argued that simply going out of the atmosphere of the planet can be considered as “space travel”. Of course, one interesting fact about space travel would be that one need not physically travel outside of the atmosphere in order to experience space travel. “Space travel” could also refer to sending out a robotic space craft to gather important data on various planets, heavenly bodies, and the like for the purpose of academic discovery and observation of environments outside of planet earth and, even the solar system.

The latter is, of course, mainly for instances wherein any physical observations would be far too dangerous for an actual human being to perform. That being said, the goal of physical human space travel is one of the goal of many Australian Space enthusiasts. Any successes of the Australian space program may be attributed to the desire to travel in space.
